Todd Thurman is an International Agriculture Consultant and Founder/CEO of Swine Insights International, a global swine management consultancy serving clients around the world. 

Before founding Swine Insights in 2017, Todd worked for over 20 years in the swine industry either for or with large-scale Pork production systems in the US and abroad. He has worked in 17 countries including significant experience in Russia, China, South East Asia, Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America. 

Todd founded Swine Insights International in 2017 to provide services to the global swine industry but his overarching goal and guiding motivation is to help pork producers improve actual measurable results on farms. Swine Insights provides consulting and training on all topics related to live swine production. In addition to the primary services, Swine Insights also offers education and pork industry expertise to pork producers, allied industry, governments and investors. 

In addition to his consulting work with Swine Insights, Todd has conducted extensive research on demographic trends and their impact on global demand for food and agriculture products. He is also a Strategic Foresight practitioner helping clients apply the principles of strategic foresight to gain a clearer understanding of the future. 

Todd is a noted speaker who has appeared at industry events around the world including the Iowa Pork Congress, the Urner Barry Global Protein Summit, VIV China, the Texas Pork Industry Conference and INAHGEN in Manila, Philippines to discuss a wide variety of topics related to the pork industry. 

In addition, he writes regularly on relevant industry topics for the Swine Insights blog and The Ag Futurist Blog. He is a frequent radio and podcast guest and has been featured in articles in publications as diverse as National Hog Farmer, swineweb.com and the Wall Street Journal. 

Todd is a Native Texan and after living all over the world, finally found his way back to Texas. He currently lives near Fort Worth, Texas, USA with his wife, Tisha and two daughters. He is fisherman, poker player, bookworm, avid traveler and a dedicated fan of Texas Tech Red Raider sports, the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Mavericks and the Kansas City Chiefs.
